Cristina Cordova, a business generalist and operator-turned-investor, has joined First Round Capital as a partner.
Cristina has established herself as a seasoned company builder and one of the most admired angel investors around, with expertise in partnerships. She spent time working at several standout tech companies, developing skills in multiple roles.
Cristina has an extensive background in startups. For example, she was hired by Pulse in 2009 as the startup’s first employee. During that time, Cristina drove significant user growth and payments volume.
In 2020, she left Stripe to join a startup she had previously angel-funded: Notion. She spent a year and a half at Notion before leaving to ramp up her angel investing activities, which now include more than 50 different startups including Alloy, Canva, and Stytch. Along with First Round, Cristina co-invested in 8 startups, including Adaptavist and Reverb.
First Round Capital, founded by Josh Kopelman and Howard Morgan, has invested in several well-known companies such as Uber, Square, Flexport, Roblox, Notion, and others.
Cristina brings years of successful operating experience to First Round, where she'll help startup founders make their first hires, build their first product, and find their first customers.
